Heya! I'm a Norwegian Gemini in her twenties. I have a fondness for life, love and humor, and I tend to babble on and on about things, when they catch my interest. I have been online since 1996, seeing the internet develop into what it is today, so different from when I started, and yet so similar.

Currently, I spend too much time on various World of Warcraft related sites..

I am a dreamer, and a romantic who enjoys life. I'm also a kind and caring woman, who hates to see people or animals get hurt. It makes me feel so infuriated and helpless that I can do so little to change the way animals are treated on this planet.

I'm also very concerned about the environment. I hate it when people damage our Earth. Humanity's killing itself, and that saddens me very much.

I am allergic to mean people, to cruelty, and to evil, which makes me sick at heart. I'm also an empath.

I can't stand extremist viewpoints of any kind, but I particularly dislike racists of any kind.

I'm almost completely a pacifist, with a hatred for war. I only consider violence in defense. I have a great deal of respect for Mahatma Gandhi and his ideals. Even if I've never been able to follow said ideals myself.

I don't speak about politics in this journal if I can help it, because I have been burned by one too many flame wars online in the past.

I have a weird sense of humor and a fondness for absurdity and trivia. It is the small, absurd details that tend to stick in my brain.

I am very fond of my friends, and consider loyalty and honesty very important to friendship and love. I have been burned by those I called friends in the past, but I haven't stopped meeting new friends and forming friendships I now can't imagine living without.

Sometimes I have a quite explosive temper. I can get very angry. It takes a lot to make me really angry, though. I do not think anyone who knows me today has seen me truly angry. My own anger frightens me, it is so burning.

I can be said to be very elf-obsessed, being a Tolkien fanatic. I have been a Tolkien fanatic since I read Lord of the Rings at the age of 12. I continued on to read the Hobbit and the Silmarilion. I have read all three many times, and continue to check Tolkien related websites online for trivia and information.

I have studied computer networking, with the intention of becoming a network administrator, but I have discovered that that is not for me. I now wish to become a librarian instead, so I am studying library science, which makes me happy. I feel I have found my goal in life at long last.

I have enjoyed computers since my parents got an 886 PC in 1986. Ten years before I discovered the internet, yet now I can't imagine not being online.

I love to read. One of my favorite hobbies is curling up with a good book, losing myself totally in the world in the book. Unfortunately, schoolwork and other things tend to take me away from that much too often these days.

I'm fond of going for long walks in the forest, and I'd get ill if I moved too far away from nature. Cities stress me out. It wears me out to be around crowds for too long.

As my name attests, I'm at my best in snow, cold and ice. I don't deal well with heat. Yet, I am allergic to cold, ironically enough.

I have an eye for colors, and I love well thought out color combinations and art. It's the artist in me. Even though I can't draw worth beans, I always appreciate the good art of others, such as my dear friend swandog.

I'm not fond of materialistic, judgemental and mean people, being quite open-minded myself. Such people grate on my nerves.

I have a creative, fun-loving, sometimes dirty mind. I consider lovemaking important, having a healthy appreciation for it, but it has to be with someone I really care about. Otherwise it's utterly pointless.

I like trustworthy guys, and I have a preference for American, Wiccan guys from the heartlands of America. I have one as a fiance, a wonderful man named Alexius. ahofschu, also known as Silvermoon. A creative, fun guy. I love him with all my heart, and look forward to spending my life with him. He means more to me than I can describe. He's the light of my life, and my soul mate. We have met in person, and leaving one another to go back to our previous lives was like tearing out part of my soul. I know that I want to live my life with him so very much. He's turned my life upside down, in such a good way. I know it is him I want to spend my life with, for better and for worse, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.

I try not to care what other people think about me, since my friends know who I am. The rest of the world shouldn't matter. I don't have that much faith in humanity. So I take my measures to avoid problems, paranoid as it seems. *smile*

Although it doesn't say so in my interests, I used to be a big Star Wars fan. I still have fond memories, and laugh at Star Wars jokes and fanfiction. I used to be a member of the Darth Maul Estrogen Brigade. But not any more, though.

I use this journal as a place to talk about things that are on my mind, goof off with silly tests, and just be me. It's a journal of what I'm thinking. I can be quite opinionated, because I hold my beliefs quite dearly. Still, I try to listen to other people. Since my posts are often based around my personal experience, or things I observe, feel free to comment if your experience proves different. I am willing to listen to other people.

The name snowelf comes from the fact that I live in a country with 8 months of winter a year, more or less. Also, I get sick when it's too hot. When it gets above 80 degrees F, I'm melting.

The elf part? That comes from the fact that I'm not exactly human.

Astrologically speaking, I am a Gemini with Pisces rising and Moon in Virgo.

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Mage Bard


Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.


Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.


Primary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.


Secondary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
